Description of Other Projects Recommended for <br /> Community Development Block Grant and other funding sources in 2014 <br /> 2 <br /> 1. Interfaith Association — Maintenance &Operation <br /> These funds will be used for the maintenance and operation costs associated with running Interfaith <br /> family shelter. <br /> Recommended 2014 - 2060 funds: $50,000.00 <br /> 2. Domestic Violence Services of Snohomish County (formerly the Center for Battered Women) <br /> Domestic Violence Services provides counseling and shelter for victims of domestic violence. <br /> Recommended 2014 - 2060 Funds: $35,000.00 <br /> 3. Senior Services of Snohomish County - Minor Home Repair <br /> This program provides for the provision of minor and emergency repairs to lower income elderly and <br /> handicapped homeowners citywide. Minor Home Repair fills a serious gap in housing rehabilitation <br /> for persons requiring emergency and minor home repairs. <br /> Recommended 2014 CDBG Funds: $99,291.00 <br /> 4. Community, Development Block Grant - Administration & Planning • <br /> Administration is an important aspect of the CDBG program, making sure of the timely completion <br /> of projects and proper management of sub grantees. <br /> The planning aspect of the CDBG funding complements the physical improvements in the <br /> neighborhoods by promoting appropriate land use, historic preservation, and economic development <br /> planning. <br /> Recommended 2014 - CDBG Funds: $173,420.00 <br /> 5. Cocoon House— Maintenance &Operation <br /> These funds will be used for the maintenance and operation costs associated with running Cocoon <br /> House's Cocoon Complex youth shelter on Pine Street. <br /> Recommended 2014 - 2060 funds: $35,000.00 <br /> 10 <br />
