6. CHIP - Community Housing Improvement Program Administration and Loans 2 <br /> CHIP provides housing rehabilitation services and loans to residents of Everett. Rehabilitation <br /> services (loan processing, preparation of bid specifications, selection and monitoring of contractors) <br /> are provided to homeowners and landlords whose property is located within the program <br /> boundaries. A variety of loans (conventional, guaranteed, reduced interest, and deferred payment) <br /> are available to homeowners based on income. Due to accounting changes required by HUD all <br /> funding is put into Fund 197 and is used for administration and rehabilitation projects. <br /> Recommended 2014 CDBG Funds: $274,557.00 <br /> 7. Housing Hope—Tomorrows Hope Daycare Improvements <br /> Housing Hope will enhance the Tomorrows Hope Daycare's playground by replacing aging <br /> playground equipment and play surface. The playground will allow for a more creative and <br /> interactive play experience. Tomorrows Hope Daycare serves families at-risk or experiencing <br /> homelessness that need daycare services. <br /> Recommended 2014 CDBG Funds: $45,432.00 <br /> 8. ChildStrive (formerly Little Red School House) — Facility Improvements <br /> ChildStrive will replace windows, update security hardware, and replace commercial appliances at <br /> their facility located at 14 E. Casino Road. The ChildStrive facility houses six organizations which <br /> provide services for children from low-income families and support for their families. <br /> Recommended 2014 CDBG Funds: $26,946.00 <br /> 9. Boys and Girls Club— North Everett Club Improvements <br /> The Boys and Girls Clubs of Snohomish County will use these funds to replace the roof on the North <br /> Everett Club located at 2316 12th Street. <br /> Recommended 2014 CDBG Funds: $42,382.00 <br /> 10. Washington Home of Your Own —Apartment House Acquisition <br /> Recommended 2014 HOME Funds: $186,229.00 <br /> 11. Homesight— First Time Homebuyer Program <br /> These funds will be used in a revolving loan funds to provide deferred loans to low-income, first <br /> time homebuyers (earning at or below 80% of area median income) purchasing homes in the City of <br /> Everett and in the City's Urban Growth Area. <br /> Recommended 2014 HOME Funds: $128,513.00 <br /> 1i <br />
