Description of Public Service Programs Recommended for <br /> Community Development Block Grant Funding in 2014 2 <br /> 1. Community Health Center of Snohomish County <br /> The Community Health Center is a non-profit clinic providing on-site dental care to low income <br /> people who do not have the health insurance or other resources to pay for dental care. <br /> Recommended 2014 CDBG Funding $20,687.00 <br /> 2. Everett Family YMCA- Child Care for Low Income Parents <br /> CDBG funds will be used for the YMCA's child care and day camp programs to meet the growing <br /> need for child care for low-income families. <br /> Recommended 2014 CDBG Funding $8,275.00 <br /> 3. Pilchuck Area Council of Camp Fire, Inc. - Campships <br /> The funds will provide financial assistance to low income children to attend Camp Killoqua in the <br /> summer of 2014. <br /> Recommended 2014 CDBG Funding $3,509.00 <br /> 4. Assistance League of Everett—Operation School Bell <br /> The goal of this program is to ensure that homeless children and children living in poverty have <br /> adequate school clothing and hygiene supplies. <br /> Recommended 2014 CDBG Funding $12,929.00 <br /> 5. Schack Arts Center—Art Glass Training <br /> Will allow youth from low/mod families to participate in glass blowing and kilnformed glass training. <br /> Sessions run four to six weeks and are to help effectively change the way youth see themselves. <br /> Recommended 2014 CDBG Funding $1,862.00 <br /> 6. Advocates for the Rights of Citizens with Developmental Disabilities (ARC) <br /> Specialized Housing Program <br /> CDBG funds will be used to pay for staffing for this program. The program will provide help for <br /> people with developmental disabilities in three areas: 1) Location and retention of affordable <br /> housing; 2) Education and training and, 3) Alternative living support. <br /> Recommended 2014 CDBG Funding $11,699.00 <br /> 7 <br />
