Senior Services of Snohomish County— Meals on Wheels <br /> This project will help reduce the waitlist for the Meals on Wheels program and will provide nutrition <br /> 2 to homebound vulnerable older adults living in the City of Everett. <br /> Recommended 2014 CDBG Funding $12,412.00 <br /> 8. Volunteers of America - Rental Housing Mediation Service <br /> This project provides neutral rental housing mediation to both owners and tenants of low income <br /> rental properties. <br /> Recommended 2014 CDBG Funding $11,699.00 <br /> 9. Snohomish County Legal Services - Housing Justice Program <br /> The Housing Justice program functions as a homeless prevention program by providing legal <br /> services to low-income tenants at eviction hearings. <br /> Recommended 2014 CDBG Funding $8,774.00 <br /> 10. Senior Services of Snohomish County - Housing Social Services <br /> Housing Social Services provides for a regular on-site service coordinator at federally funded, <br /> subsidized housing for senior and disabled residents. They are trained to recognize social and <br /> health needs and to help residents to obtain services quickly and effectively. This forms a link to the <br /> service network in order to prevent premature or unwarranted institutionalization. <br /> Recommended 2014 CDBG Funding $11,688.00 <br /> 11. Snohomish County—Senior Peer Counseling Program <br /> The Senior Peer Counseling Program uses trained and supervised senior volunteers to provide <br /> supportive counseling to other seniors facing difficult life challenges. These challenges include loss <br /> of loved ones and friends, health problems, retirement, relocation, loss of mobility, and other <br /> changes associated with aging. These issues often lead to depression, isolation and anxiety. <br /> Recommended 2014 CDBG Funding $3,103.00 <br /> 12. Catholic Community Services - Volunteer Program Services <br /> This program will reimburse the transportation costs of volunteers providing transportation services <br /> to clients residing within the city of Everett. <br /> Recommended 2014 CDBG Funding $4,137.00 <br /> 8 <br />
