4. The type I hood has been reduced io one hood instead of two. The enclosure has also been
revised to a shaft wall type enclosure similar to the elevator shaft. See revised detail 17 on
drawing A2.10 and floor plan drawings for the wall type revision.
5. Although not required by code, we typically extend the shaft above the roof level in order to
maintain a continuous construction type from the bottom of the shaft to the top. This
comment is duly noted and may be utilized in the field if necessary.
6. 'file required clearance from the duct to the shaft is 3" if the enclosure is constructed with
non-combustible framing. In this case we are using a metal framed shaft wall which is non
combustible. This dimension has been added to detail 17 on drawing A2.10.
7. The construction of the shaft has been revised to provide a shaft installation that does not
require finishing on the interior side. See revised detal 17 on drawing A2.10. Resilient
channels were added to the interior side of the shaft to meet the required sound rating of STC
50. This can be verified by GA File No. W P 7056 which is attached for your reference.
8. The fire sprinkler system will be accessed from a fire line located in Hoyt Avenue. This revised location is shown on the revised site plan included with this
resubmittal.
9. The future sky bridge will be dealt with as a deferred submittal. This is noted on the drawings
where the sky bridge is called out.
10. With the floor assemblies as detailed the majority if flooring products will meet the required
IIC classification. At this time it is not known what all of the flooring products will be. Note
# 16 has been added to the finish schedule so that this can be addressed when the specific
flooring products arc chosen.
11. All guardrails are called out on the various sections at the stairs. All guardrails are intended
to be constructed with either detail 3 or 5 on drawing A 5.5 with the exception of the center
guardrail at the upper floors. The upper floor stair guardrail is intended to be a mesh panel
wall with supports as shown in section 1 on drawing A4.1.
12.
