and roof construction. The section drawing shows vaulted ceiling in existing spaces that <br /> have a flat ceiling. <br /> 7. Studs shall be full height in exterior walls at vaulted ceilings. Show in section drawings. <br /> 8. Provide detail/section drawing of the one-hour fire-resistance rated construction on the <br /> underside of projections located in the 5 foot side yard setback. <br /> 9. The floor level of the westernmost space is lower than the floor in the kitchen dining room <br /> and living room, show how this is addressed with details and or section drawings. <br /> 10.The plans show several walls as existing that are not currently on the structure. Please <br /> update plans to reflect all new and existing construction. Differentiate between 2x4 walls <br /> (insulated with R-15 at exterior locations) and 2x6 walls (insulated with R-21), on the floor <br /> plan. All newly constructed exterior walls are required to be 2x6 with R-21 insulation. Show <br /> in section drawings. (Note: Alternate wall configurations may be used as defined in Table <br /> R402.1.1 WSEC. If you choose to use an alternate assembly please show it in your section <br /> drawings.) <br /> 11.The reduction to R-38 insulation in the ceiling assembly in the Washington State Energy <br /> code refers to a "single- rafter or joist-vaulted ceiling"and does not include trusses, unless <br /> the trusses used are raised heel trusses to allow full height insulation at the outside plane <br /> of the exterior wall. The wall sections shall show raised heel trusses and the required <br /> blocking. <br /> 12. Provide R-10 rigid insulation in headers located in exterior walls. Show requirement in <br /> section drawings. <br /> 13. Provide lateral analysis for wind and seismic loading prepared by a licensed Washington <br /> State Engineer. All braced wall lines shall be clearly marked on the plans. <br /> 14. R404.1 Lighting Equipment. A minimum of 75% of lamps in permanently installed <br /> lighting fixtures shall be high-efficacy lamps. Please update code requirement on plans. <br /> 15. Show how dwelling is heated and location of furnace and water heater. <br /> 16. Specify the"Whole House Ventilation System". Each dwelling unit shall be equipped with a <br /> ventilation system complying with section M1507.3.4, M1507.3.5, M1507.3.6 or M1507.3.7. <br /> Show the entire code section of the whole house ventilation system chosen on the plans. <br /> Do not simply reference the code section. <br /> 17. Please clarify the following note found on the plan set; <br /> "GROUNDING ELECTRODE SYSTEM: ALL GROUNDING ELECTRODES AS DESCRIBED IN <br /> 250.52 (A)(1) THROUGH (A)(6) THAT ARE PRESENT AT EACH BUILDING OR STRUCTURE <br /> SERVED SHALL BE BONDED TOGETHER TO FORM THE GROUNDING ELECTRODE SYSTEM. <br /> WHERE NONE OF THE GROUNDING ELECTRODES SPECIFIED IN 250.52 (A)(4) THROUGH <br /> (A)(7) SHALL BE INSTALLED AND USED". <br /> 18.
