For clarification, if the historical type of construction for the building is II-FR, the current <br /> type of construction would be I-B (vs. II-A as shown on Sheet CS01). <br /> Response: Construction Type has been revised to I-B,see revised sheet CS01. <br /> 2.An electrical plan review is required for the proposed scope of work. The submission of <br /> an electrical permit package will trigger the commencement of the review. <br /> Response:The electrical drawings have been submitted separately for permit and are under <br /> review. <br /> 3.A mechanical plan review is required for the proposed scope of work.The submission of <br /> a mechanical permit package will trigger the commencement of the review. <br /> a.As a pre-comment before the review, the non-rated floor/ceiling penetration in <br /> Detail 5/M9.01 should be removed (as all floors are rated if this Type I-B <br /> construction). Section 714.4 <br /> Response: The mechanical permit will be deferred to the mechanical contractor. <br /> 4. New doors into the corridor on Level 3 should be shown as minimum 20-minute smoke <br /> and draft control assemblies. Sections 1020.1 and 716.5.3 <br /> a. The toilet rooms on Level 3 should be separated from the corridor with minimum <br /> one-hour rated fire partitions and 20-minute doors. Section 1020.1 <br /> Response: New doors are shown as 45 minute doors in order to match the ratings of the existing <br /> doors they will be replacing. Door hardware will accommodate required smoke and draft control. <br /> a. New rated doors have been provided on magnetic hold-opens at the level 3 restrooms.
