a. The toilet rooms on Level 2 should be separated from the'corridor/exit enclosure' <br /> by minimum 60-minute doors. IFC Section 1103.4.2 &IBC Section 716.5 <br /> 6. A sign stating Exit in raised characters and braille and complying with ICC A117.1 should <br /> be shown adjacent to the exit doorways. Section IBC 1013.4, IEBC Section 705.2 <br /> Accessibility (ANSI ICC A117.1-2009) <br /> 1. At least 5% of the built-in workstations (including sinks and cabinets) in the new <br /> classrooms should be shown as accessible. Sections 1109.3, 1109.9 & 1109.11 <br /> 2. Door E305 should be revised from a right-hand swing to a left-hand swing to <br /> accommodate the required maneuvering clearance. ANSI Section 404.2.3 <br /> 3. The hot water supply and drain pipes under the lavatories in Detail A4.10 should be shown <br /> wrapped, guarded or insulated to prevent contact. ANSI Section 606.6 <br /> 4. Elevations on Sheet A4.11 should show the vertical side wall grab bars at the accessible <br /> toilets. ANSI Section 604.5.1 <br /> 5. ANSI Section 604.6 <br /> In order for the processing of your application to continue, it will be necessary to provide the <br /> Building Division with two new sets of revised construction documents reflecting the corrections <br /> requested. Please include a response letter which indicates how the corrections were resolved. <br /> All codes cited refer to the 2015 International Building Code (IBC), 2015 International Existing <br /> Building Code (IEBC), the 2015 International Fire Code (IFC), the 2015 International Mechanical <br /> Code (IMC), and/or the 2015 Washington State Energy Code (WSEC), as amended by the State <br /> of Washington and adopted by the City of Everett. The current IBC referenced standard for <br /> accessible design is the 2009 "Accessible and Usable Buildings and Facilities" (ICC/ANSI <br /> A117.1). Federal ADA regulations and standards may be more restrictive. <br /> These comments address building issues only. Additional revisions or additions may be required <br /> by other departments (such as Utilities, Traffic, Planning or Fire).
