Please review the information and let me know if you have questions. <br /> The following should be addressed for the calculations: <br /> 1. The calculations appear to primarily address the existing GLBs at the 7.5' spacing. However,the units are <br /> centered over the larger GLB (identified in the calculations as the"drop beam"). This glulam beam and the <br /> supporting column(s)are of more interest to verify sizes and capacities. These members may be adequate, but <br /> without any information, it is not clear they are sufficient. <br /> 2. Continuing with the previous comment,the support for the GLB at the exterior wall is also not clear. The type of <br /> support (e.g., bearing on a framed wall,connection to a concrete tilt-up wall, etc.)should be clarified. The <br /> construction and capacity of this support condition should be verified. <br /> The following should be:addressed for the drawings: <br /> 3. A drawing with the structural notes and detail(s)for the support of the mechanical units should be submitted for <br /> inclusion in the drawing set. <br /> 4. Detail SSK-2 is partially unreadable (i.e., left side). A clear copy should be used. <br /> 5. A partial plan clarifying the proposed construction of the mechanical unit support framing is recommended. <br /> 6. The following revisions to Detail SSK-2 are recommended: <br /> a. The 4x8 blocking appears to be connected to the sleepers using Simpson HU hangers. The make <br /> and specific model of the hangers should be stated. <br /> b. The detail specify connecting the channel curb to the sleepers with sheet metal screws. Wood <br /> screws should be used. <br /> As we discussed, I can review an electronic copy of the new sheet prior to you sending it.
