Cast in place anchor bolts may be used in lieu of the expansion anchors at the strong <br />backs located adjacent to new openings, <br />2. At die new wood framed entry canopy, the 2x8 PT wood ledger shown in section <br />5lA3.1 may be attached to the existing building with tluaugh ��ts in lieu of the <br />eXPansi�n anchors originally spec�fied. The through bo�ts are to enchored to a 2x6 <br />backing block .running �eKlcally. The length of the block shall be long enough to <br />encompass 3 block modules ( 24"+/- ), '171e �o� �1� �� have a 2" square x 1/8" <br />thick plate washer placed between the nut and the 2x6 wood bac]cing block.
