JOC
uses a competitive process to select a general contractor to oversee the completion of smaller projects at
established unit pricing.
The Gordian Group will assist the City in establishing and operating JOC procedures for use by all
departments. The initial contract teiin will run through November 30,2015 with the possibility of four one-
year renewals. Compensation will be paid as a 5% fee for each project utilizing JOC. Staff estimates
potential JOC projects totaling$2 million a year. This would result in payments to Gordian of as much as
$100,000 annually.
RECOMMENDATION(Exact action requested of Council):
Authorize the Mayor to sign a Professional Services Agreement with The Gordian Group for Job Order
Contracting Services in the estimated amount of$100,000.
3
