• •
The hazards include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Debris covers much of the floor areas, creating tripping hazards.
• There are boards with exposed nails within the building.
• Wet gypsum ceiling finishes within the units may fall without notice.
• Roof framing above the walkway and within several units may fall.
• The western portion of the elevated walkway should have temporary support.
Prior to working in the north side of the building, temporary support of the western
approximately 40' of the third floor elevated walkway should be installed. Additional
support is also required along the north 20' of the second floor elevated walkway.
Temporary support of the roof above the walkway is required near the west 40' as well. _
Anyone entering the building should have hard hats, proper footwear and proper eyewear,
and be under the direct supervision of the personnel that have control of the site (i.e. fire
department, contractor, owner, or owner's agent). Note that our recommendations above do
not address potential hazardous materials (i.e. asbestos, mold, etc.)that may be encountered
when entering a fire-damaged building. No removal of debris or other construction work
should be performed in the area during the times when contents are being removed.
If requested,we can design temporary support of the framing for limited access to the
remaining areas.
Please let us know if you have any questions or require additional information.
Sincerely,
P.
PACIFIC ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGIES,INC. OF WAsit4'tli
c:t;
vir„
4,, 37791 ,.s9 I '
Michael P.
