<br /> of research, and the requirements in DHS Directive 026-04.
<br /> f. The requirements of the Animal Welfare Act of 1966, as amended (7 U.S.C.
<br /> §2131 et.seq.).
<br /> g. The Flood Disaster Protection Act of 1973 the National Flood Insurance Act of
<br /> 1968, as amended (42 U.S.C. §4001 et seq.).
<br /> h. The USA Patriot Act of 2001, as amended (18 U.S.C. §§175-175c).
<br /> i. The Fly America Act of 1974, as amended (49 U.S.C. §40118) and the
<br /> interpretive guidelines issued by the Comptroller General of the United States
<br /> March 31, 1981, amendment to Comptroller General Decision B138942.
<br /> j. The False Claims Act(FCA) (31 U.S.C. §3729).
<br /> k. Section 6 of the Hotel and Motel Safety Act of 1990 (15 U.S.C. §2225(a),
<br /> ensuring that all conference, meeting, convention, or training space funded in
<br /> whole or in part with Federal funds complies with the fire prevention and control
<br /> guidelines of the Federal Fire Prevention Control Act of 1974, 15 U.S.C. §2225.
<br /> 5. The Sub-grantee must comply with any Federal requirements to acknowledge Federal
<br /> funding when issuing statements, press releases, requests for proposals, bid invitations, and
<br /> other documents describing projects or programs funded in whole or in part with Federal
<br /> funds.
<br /> 6. The Sub-grantee must obtain FEMA and Department of Homeland Security (DHS) approval
<br /> prior to using the FEMA or DHS seal(s), logos, crests or reproductions of flags or likenesses
<br /> of DHS agency officials, including use of the United States Coast Guard seal, logo, crests or
<br /> reproductions of flags or likenesses of Coast Guard officials.
<br /> 7. The Sub-grantee must ensure that any project activities carried on outside the United States
<br /> are coordinated as necessary with appropriate government authorities and that appropriate
<br /> licenses, permits, or approvals are obtained.
<br /> 8. If, during the past three years, the recipient has been accused of discrimination on the
<br /> grounds of race, color, national origin (including limited English proficiency), sex, age,
<br /> disability, religion, or familial status, the Sub-grantee must provide a list of all such
<br /> proceedings, pending or completed, including outcome and copies of settlement
<br /> agreements to the Depai intent for forwarding to the DHS awarding office and the DHS
<br /> Office of Civil Rights and Civil Liberties. In the event any court or administrative agency
<br /> makes a finding of discrimination on grounds of race, color, national origin (including limited
<br /> English proficiency), sex, age, disability, religion, or familial status against the Sub-grantee,
<br /> or the recipient settles a case or matter alleging such discrimination, recipients must forward
<br /> a copy of the complaint and findings to the DHS Component and/or awarding office. The
<br /> United States has the right to seek judicial enforcement of these obligations.
<br /> 9. If the Sub-grantee collects personally identifiable information (PI1), the Sub-grantee must
<br /> have a publically-available policy that describes what PIl is collected, how the PII is used,
<br /> whether the PII is shared with third parties, and how individuals may have their PII corrected
<br /> as necessary.
<br /> 10.The Sub-grantee and any of its sub-recipients are required to be non-delinquent in
<br /> repayment of any Federal debt.
