r. J_�36 <br />� Page B-2 <br />' � <br />Grain Size Analyses <br />Grain size analyses were performed on selected samples of the <br />soil in accordance with ASTM D-422-63. Mechanical analyses <br />were performed on sampies from test ptis TP-2, TP-5, and TP-7 <br />(combined analyses were performed on samples from TP-2, TP-9, <br />and TP-11). The results of grain size analyses are presented in <br />Figure B-2. <br />Atterberg Limits <br />An Atterberg limit deteL�ination was accomplished for samples <br />of silt £rom test pits TP-2 and TP-11. The liquid li:nit was <br />determined in general aci-ordance with ASTM D-423-66 and the <br />plastic limit was determined in general accordance with ASTM <br />D-424-54.
