The improvements included upgrades to existing guardrails, guardrail anchors,transition sections as well as pavement marking and signage. Additional costs that were incurred included: increased traffic control and flagging hours,removal and replacement of additional lineal footage of measured guardrail,change from non-flared terminals to SKT Level 2 terminals,greater amount of utilities potholing and an additional 7 working days of construction inspection costs. The funding sources for the project were: Federal Grant(HSIP) $ 467,731 Fund 119—Street Improvements 85,123 Total Funds $ 552,854 RECOMMENDATION(Exact action requested of Council): Approve the proposed ordinance closing a special improvement project entitled"Everett Citywide Guardrail Improvement Program", Fund 303, Program 100, as established by Ordinance No. 3328-13. 9
