The <br /> improvements included upgrades to existing guardrails, guardrail anchors,transition sections as well as <br /> pavement marking and signage. <br /> Additional costs that were incurred included: increased traffic control and flagging hours,removal and <br /> replacement of additional lineal footage of measured guardrail,change from non-flared terminals to SKT <br /> Level 2 terminals,greater amount of utilities potholing and an additional 7 working days of construction <br /> inspection costs. <br /> The funding sources for the project were: <br /> Federal Grant(HSIP) $ 467,731 <br /> Fund 119—Street Improvements 85,123 <br /> Total Funds $ 552,854 <br /> RECOMMENDATION(Exact action requested of Council): <br /> Approve the proposed ordinance closing a special improvement project entitled"Everett Citywide Guardrail <br /> Improvement Program", Fund 303, Program 100, as established by Ordinance No. 3328-13. <br /> 9 <br />
