PUBLIC WORKS
ZY
estimated record of location. This information will need to be updated upon
completion of the project and provided as "as-builts" for inclusion on the City's
master WFP as-built file. This as-built file has been previously provided to you
as a base for your design. Please note, when including the City's information
into your drawing do not alter the City's base information including the location of
any facilities, reference points, notes, etc.
• Please provide typical trench cross section details for buried facilities including
along the surface of the Dam and in the roadway/shoulders. At a minimum
please include minimum depth of bury, bedding materials, conduit type and size,
number of conduits, proposed encasement material (CDF, gravel,?) and backfill
material above the encasement with compaction requirement.
• Please provide horizontal off-set information and a typical trench section for the
area where your facilities will parallel, and cross, the 1960's era cast iron
watermain which runs along the western end of the dam. As we have discussed
this 50+ year old watermain is a crucial piece of infrastructure that is required in
the City's ability to make clean drinking water, and its protection during your work
is of the utmost importance. Therefore, we wish to review how close you will be
excavating to this pipe, what your depth will be and how you propose to cross the
watermain without damaging it.
• Please provide a detailed drawing of your crossing under the City's above grade
steel siphon and return lines located at the eastern side of the dam. The City is
interested in how the work will be performed to trench under these pipelines.
• Please provide the location of all vaults including offset off of road centerline.
Please also provided information on the vaults themselves including manufacture
cuts sheets. We assume the vault lids will be traffic rated, please indicate this on
your drawings.
• Please provide a typical trench section for the area where your facilities will cross
the new 30" drainage culvert that crosses the Portal 2 road. Once I know where
your line will be located in regard to the centerline of the road I can provide you
with the approximate depth of the new culvert.
Once submitted, the City will review and comment on your plans including a request for
resubmittal should any additional information be required. Once approved, a copy of
the approved plans will be provided to you for use in the field. Please note the City's
Construction Management Division will require notification prior to any work being
CITY OF EVERETT • 3200 Cedar Street • Everett, WA 98201 • (425) 257-8800 • Fax c2/
(425) 257-8882
