SEPA ENVIRONMENTAL CHECKLIST FOR
Beverly Park Switching Station Expansion AGENCY
P.U.D. NO. 1 of Snohomish County USE
c. List threatened or endangered species known to be on or near the site.
• No threatened or endangered species are known to be on or near the
property.
d. Proposed landscaping, use of native plants, or other measures to preserve or
enhance vegetation on the site, if any:
• Landscaping design will conform to City standards, recognized
professional practice and will be compatible with the existing site
landscaping. Any existing landscaping damaged or removed during
construction will be replaced.
5. Animals
a. Identify any birds and animals which have been observed on or near the site or are
known to be on or near the site:
birds: hawk, heron, eagle, songbirds, birds of prey
mammals: deer, bear, elk, beaver, small mammals
fish: bass, salmon, trout, herring, shellfish
b. List any threatened or endangered species known to be on or near the site.
• None are documented within the project site, however there is evidence of
ESA listed salmon species within the Snohomish watershed.
c. Is the site part of a migration route? If so, explain.
• Puget Sound Flyway encompasses Western Washington.
• Although various species of birds fly over the area, no site features likely
concentrate birds (e.g. open-water). The forested area on this site is
isolated from destination locations, such as the Snohomish River, by
Interstate-5 and the surrounding residential and commercial developments.
• Thus, wildlife is not expected to use this area as a migration route.
d. Proposed measures to preserve or enhance wildlife, if any:
• No measures are proposed, as the forested habitat on the property is not
proposed to be altered.
— e-1 . _Y
