City of Everett 01 1100 - 1 2020 Biosolids Removal UT3705-11 SECTION 01 1100 - SUMMARY OF WORK 1.1 WORK COVERED BY THIS CONTRACT A. The City of Everett owns a Water Pollution Control Facility located near Everett WA and is seeking a Contractor to dredge, dewater and place for storage approximately 2,000 dry tons of biosolids from the City's Recirculation Channel. The recirculation channel is a 60 ft wide (at the surface) channel that begins at the midpoint of the southern end of the oxidation ponds and stretches along the South and West side of the pond. The channel is bound by a natural slope on one side and a concrete wall on the other. The horizontal distance from the wall to the toe of the submerged slope is approximately 28 ft. The solids removed ' from this channel will be placed on the City's Biosolids pad for future use. The Water Pollution Control Facility is located at 4027 4th Street Southeast, Everett WA. Contractor is expected to conduct his/her operations and manage the ' dewatered biosolids on the City's Biosolids pad. The Engineer's estimate for this Project is $900,000.00 ' B. Time is of the essence for this contract. Once placed on the Biosolids pad, the solids removed from the recirculation channel will be immediately trucked to agricultural fields for spring crop land application (Trucking and land application ' will be under a different contract). The successful bidder must be able to start production within 21 calendar days from Notice to Proceed (NTP.) The ' anticipated NTP date is around the last week of April, 2020. C. The successful bidder shall be solely responsible for providing all equipment, 111 labor and supplies necessary to dredge, dewater, and transport the biosolids to the designated location on the City's Biosolids Pad in accordance with the terms of the Contract. ' D. The successful bidder shall keep accurate records of all transactions connected to this Contract and provide them to the City's representative. This shall include but not be limited to correspondence, invoices, transaction tickets or receipts ' issued to the Contractor. 1.2 JOB DESCRIPTION A. The following is a general outline and is not intended to be a complete listing of ' the work to be accomplished nor is it intended to be used to indicate the order the work is to be completed. The items listed below represent a general list of items included in the work and should be verified prior to bidding.
