City of Everett 01 1100 - 1 <br /> 2020 Biosolids Removal UT3705-11 <br /> SECTION 01 1100 - SUMMARY OF WORK <br /> 1.1 WORK COVERED BY THIS CONTRACT <br /> A. The City of Everett owns a Water Pollution Control Facility located near Everett <br /> WA and is seeking a Contractor to dredge, dewater and place for storage <br /> approximately 2,000 dry tons of biosolids from the City's Recirculation Channel. <br /> The recirculation channel is a 60 ft wide (at the surface) channel that begins at <br /> the midpoint of the southern end of the oxidation ponds and stretches along the <br /> South and West side of the pond. The channel is bound by a natural slope on <br /> one side and a concrete wall on the other. The horizontal distance from the wall <br /> to the toe of the submerged slope is approximately 28 ft. The solids removed <br /> ' from this channel will be placed on the City's Biosolids pad for future use. The <br /> Water Pollution Control Facility is located at 4027 4th Street Southeast, Everett <br /> WA. Contractor is expected to conduct his/her operations and manage the <br /> ' dewatered biosolids on the City's Biosolids pad. The Engineer's estimate for this <br /> Project is $900,000.00 <br /> ' B. Time is of the essence for this contract. Once placed on the Biosolids pad, the <br /> solids removed from the recirculation channel will be immediately trucked to <br /> agricultural fields for spring crop land application (Trucking and land application <br /> ' will be under a different contract). The successful bidder must be able to start <br /> production within 21 calendar days from Notice to Proceed (NTP.) The <br /> ' anticipated NTP date is around the last week of April, 2020. <br /> C. The successful bidder shall be solely responsible for providing all equipment, <br /> 111 labor and supplies necessary to dredge, dewater, and transport the biosolids to <br /> the designated location on the City's Biosolids Pad in accordance with the terms <br /> of the Contract. <br /> ' D. The successful bidder shall keep accurate records of all transactions connected <br /> to this Contract and provide them to the City's representative. This shall include <br /> but not be limited to correspondence, invoices, transaction tickets or receipts <br /> ' issued to the Contractor. <br /> 1.2 JOB DESCRIPTION <br /> A. The following is a general outline and is not intended to be a complete listing of <br /> ' the work to be accomplished nor is it intended to be used to indicate the order <br /> the work is to be completed. The items listed below represent a general list of <br /> items included in the work and should be verified prior to bidding. The Work <br /> ' includes but is not limited to the supply and installation of all materials, equipment, <br /> and labor necessary to perform the Work in full. <br /> I <br /> 01 1100 - 1 SUMMARY OF WORK <br />
