City of Everett 01 2213 - 2 <br /> 2020 Biosolids Removal UT3705-11 <br /> 2. <br /> 3. Payment <br /> a. When 5% of the original Contract amount is earned from other bid <br /> items, 50% of the amount bid for Mobilization and Demobilization, or <br /> 5% of the original Contract amount, whichever is lesser, will be paid. <br /> b. Upon completion of work for the project, payment of the remaining <br /> amount bid for Mobilization and Demobilization will be paid. <br /> 1 <br /> B. Item #2 — DRY TONS REMOVED, DEWATERED AND PLACED ON <br /> BIOSOLIDS PAD (Unit Price) <br /> 1. For the purposes of this Contract the Contractor shall be paid the unit <br /> price bid for Dry Tons per the amount (by weight) of solids material that is <br /> weighed and transported from the dewatering staging area to the <br /> designated location on the City's Biosolids Pad. <br /> 2. For this contract, the measurement of a Dry Ton includes the weight of <br /> only the solid material contained in each ton of material that crosses the <br /> City owned scale —the weight of the water will not be included. <br /> 3. Contractor shall weigh biosolids by the truckload, using the certified scale <br /> provided by Owner. <br /> 4. The calculation of a Dry Ton for payment shall be as per the following <br /> equation: <br /> 5. <br /> (Tons of material loaded into a truck) x (Percent TS) <br /> 100 = Dry Tons <br /> Example 1 (Material at 28% TS): 111 <br /> 2 tons of material loaded into a truck x (28%) I <br /> 100 = 0.56 tons of Dry Ton <br /> material for payment. <br /> Example 2 (Material at 31% TS): <br /> 10 tons of material loaded into a truck x (31%) <br /> 100 = 3.1 tons of Dry Ton ' <br /> material for payment. <br /> 6. Payment <br /> a. All labor, equipment, materials and necessary appurtenances <br /> required to dredge the biosolids from the recirculation channel, and <br /> necessary to dewater these biosolids to a solids content of equal to <br /> or greater than 28% TS shall be incidental to the payment for each <br /> Dry Ton. <br /> b. Payment for labor, equipment, and materials necessary for loading, <br /> moving, weighing, transporting and depositing the material in the <br /> designated area on the City's Biosolids Pad shall also be incidental <br /> to the payment for each Dry Ton. <br /> 01 2213 - 2 UNIT PRICE MEASUREMENT <br />
