City of Everett 01 3529 - 3 <br /> ' 2020 Biosolids Removal UT3705-11 <br /> 15. Other issues which the Contractor determines are appropriate and <br /> ' necessary to protect worker safety and health. <br /> 16. This plan shall be posted and marked in a location on site that will be noticed <br /> upon entry of work site. A fall protection plan must also be established and <br /> shall be posted next to the Health and Safety Plan (Accident Prevention <br /> ' Program). These postings are required to be protected from inclement <br /> weather and must be legible during the extent of this contract. <br /> 1.6 HEALTH AND SAFETY REPRESENTATIVE <br /> A. The Contractor shall designate a Health and Safety Representative who will <br /> oversee all work taken place on the job site including work performed by <br /> subcontractors and suppliers. The Health and Safety Rep should be capable of <br /> ' identifying hazards within the job site, take immediate actions to correct hazard <br /> and if needed, stop work until hazards have been corrected. <br /> B. The Contractor shall authorize the Health and Safety Representative to resolve <br /> safety-related issues raised by the City. <br /> C. The Health and Safety Representative is responsible to insure that work is <br /> performed in accordance with the Health and Safety Plan. <br /> D. At the daily job briefing and/or tailgate conference, Contractor shall provide the <br /> City's representative in attendance at the meeting all relevant information on the <br /> ' Work to be performed, its location, and the equipment to be used. <br /> E. The Contractor is responsible to insure that its workers and subcontractors have <br /> ' all safety equipment required for the Work. <br /> F. Nothing in this Contract shall be construed as imposing any duty upon the City or <br /> any of its employees with regard to, or as constituting any express or implied <br /> ' assumption of control or responsibility over, Project Site safety, or over any other <br /> safety conditions relating to employees or agents of Contractor or any of its <br /> Subcontractors, or the public. <br /> The Remainder of This Page Intentionally Left Blank <br /> I <br /> 01 3529 - 3 HEALTH AND SAFETY <br />
