Findings:- The Everett General Plan designates this property <br />as 4.2, Highway Commercial. <br />b. Conrincionsz The granting of the variance is not inconsistent <br />with the goals and policies of the Everett General Plan. <br />criterion un_ r%: The need for the requested variance is not the <br />result of a self-created hardsUp. <br />a. Findings: The requested variance to allow for the <br />construction of a new sign is needed due to the current zoning <br />of the property which was established at the time of <br />annexation which does not permit service stations or signage <br />associated with a service station. <br />,b. Conrinsinns_ Due to the lengthy review time that is normally <br />associated with the rezone process, the applicant is seeking a <br />variance to allow the construction of the new price sign. <br />FINDINGS AND L`Q93•i1C19N8_ <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the Board of Adjustment of the City of Everett does <br />hereby order that a variance be GRANTED to allow for the construction <br />of the proposed sign subject to approval of the City Traffic Engineer <br />and the Building department. Also, prior to issuance of the sign <br />permit the applicant is required to submit an application for rezone <br />of the property. <br />The action of the Board of Adjustment in GRANTINGG avariance <br />shall be <br />final and conclusive, unless within thirty (30) days r <br />om of <br />issuance and signing of this order by the Chairman of the Board, an <br />aggrieved person or persons obtains a writ of certiorari from the <br />Superior Court of Washington for Snohomish County for the purpose of <br />review of the action taken. <br />DATED this 9th day of April, 1992. <br />ai an, Bo d f Adjustment <br />Notes to Applicant: <br />1, If a building permit is not obta'ned within one year from the <br />above date, the Board of Adjustment's decision shall cease to <br />be effective, Prior to the expiration date, a written request <br />for a six-month extension may be submitted to the Planning <br />Director. <br />2.
