•
ENGINEERING
PUBLIC SERVICES DEPARTMENT
May 5, 2017
Luis Martinez
luispmtz@gmail.com
185 Olympic Way
Kent, WA 98030
RE: Owner: YW Colby Development, LLC
Job Address: 4220 Colby Ave.
Plan Check Number: B1611-042
Dear Mr. Martinez,
In response to your application for a construction permit, your plans have been examined and you
are advised that revisions may be necessary before a permit can be issued. Please review and
respond to the comments below. These comments address building issues only. Additional
revisions or additions may be required by other departments (such as Public Works, Planning, or
Fire). All references refer to the 2015 International Building Code (IBC), the 2015 International
Existing Building Code (IEBC), the 2015 International Property Maintenance Code (IPMC), the 2015
International Fire Code (IFC), the 2015 International Mechanical Code (IMC), and the 2015
International Energy Conservation (IECC), as amended by the State of Washington (WSEC) and
adopted by the City of Everett. The current IBC referenced standard for accessible design is the
2009"Accessible and Usable Buildings and Facilities"(ICC/ANSI A117.1). Federal ADA, FHA, and
HUD regulations and standards, including the Fair Housing Accessibility Guidelines may be more
restrictive.
In order for the processing of your application to continue, it will be necessary to
provide the Building Division with two complete new sets of construction documents
reflecting the corrections requested.
Additional Comments on Previous Correction #1 Comments
14. Original Comment: The stairways and exit passageway floor are required to be designed
to support a live load of 100 psf. This should be added to the structural notes.
i.— Original Response: See revised general structural notes.

0,0GI New Comments: Please indicate in the permit calculations with page references the
beams and walls that are acting as part of the basic structure and to which the stairs,
which are designed by others, have been designed for the 100 psf live load (non-
reducible). Please also, include page references for the affected floor beams that denote
the passageways affected by the 100 psf live load.
CITY OF EVERETT • 3200 Cedar Street • Everett, WA 98201 • (425) 257-8810 • Fax(425) 257-8 57--
