The letter addressed below is for Building items <br /> only(Geotechnical,Architectural and Structural)and the correction letter was issued 7/8/19). See responses <br /> below. The correction comments are in smaller italicized type while our responses are in the larger type. <br /> GEOTECHNICAL <br /> 1. The geotechnical report has been prepared by Geo Test Services,Inc.,dated May 3,2019. The geotechnical engineer should <br /> submit a supplemental report providing additional recommendations for the foundation system. The recommendations shall <br /> state the required soil criteria for the design of the soil anchors. Additional comments regarding the structural design are <br /> provided below. See Detail 5/F1 and Structural Note 5 on Sheet Fl. See IBC Sections 202, 1803.2, 1803.5.5, 1803.6,and <br /> 1810.1.1., <br /> Response: A geotechnical addendum, dated July 23, 2019, has been prepared by GeoTest Services, <br /> Inc., and, after 4 tests. lists the soil criteria for the Minute Man Anchors. See new Soil Classification <br /> Addendum to original geotechnical report. <br /> ARCHITECTURAL <br /> 1. The Project Data section on Sheet A0.01 discusses the proposed portables in the"New Work"statement The work describes <br /> two new portables,identified as P-10 and P-11, with a total area of 3,320 SF. However,Sheet A1.01 shows a single portable, <br /> identified as P-6/P-7 with an area of 1,771 SF. Note that the width of the portable is not consistent between Sheets A1.01 <br /> and A2.01. The drawings should be revised as needed for clarity. <br /> Response: As you can probably guess, we copied the text from another project and forgot to edit. It <br /> is now correct and shows just the one portable. The width of portable has been corrected on sheet <br /> A2.01. See revised Sheets A0.01 and A2.01. <br /> 2. The occupant load shall be stated in the Project Data section on Sheet A0.01. See IBC Section 1004.1 and Table 1004.1.2. <br /> Response: The occupant load is now shown under"Project Data", Under "New Work". See revised <br /> Sheet A0.01. <br /> 3. The restroom facilities for the new portable are provided in the existing portable toilet building shown on Sheet A1.01. It is <br /> understood that the building provides a maximum of 3 waterclosets for each sex. Based on an estimate of the total occupants <br /> in the existing and proposed portable buildings, it appears that additional waterclosets may be required. An analysis of the <br /> restroom facilities shall be submitted verifying that adequate facilities are provided to accommodate the increased occupancy. <br /> See IBC Sections 2902.1 and 2902.3.2(WA C). <br /> Response: Gross bldg. areas are listed to help determine toilet count. Toilet count calculations for <br /> both school wide campus and just portable areas are now provided and both show toilet count is <br /> sufficient.
