The <br /> items addressed below are for fire review only. I have done my best to summarize the items we discussed. If <br /> something is missing don't hesitate to add it or contact me and I will add it. See responses below.The correction <br /> comments are in smaller italicized type while our responses are in the larger type. <br /> Issue 1.Access for fire truck limited and needs to be expanded to access behind the portables from the south <br /> playfields. <br /> SCR Response: The new 12' gate to the south fields shown on the original permit drawings is now a 21' <br /> gate (already installed). This is so the district can get their larger maintenance trucks onto that field. New <br /> 21' gate is now shown on revised sheet A1.01 (Revision 2)dated 7/31/2019 <br /> The gravel service road to the back field (mislabeled on A1.01 as"(E)CONCRETE WALK")is again for <br /> district work trucks to access the back field. It was field checked and is approximately 12'wide. A fire truck <br /> route (12'wide)was drawn on the road with the minimum turning radiuses. Most of the road is capable for a <br /> fire truck except for the swing to enter the new 21' gate. HD gravel paving will be added to accommodate <br /> this turning area. <br /> New Gravel to expand width of service road is now shown on revised sheet A1.01 (Revision 2)dated <br /> 7/31/2019 <br /> The turnaround can be done on the existing compacted sand playfield. Large district service trucks have <br /> been using this playfield area to access work areas and it has proven sufficient to accommodate heavy truck <br /> traffic (at a lower speeds). <br /> Issue 2.Access to front of portable also to be reviewed. <br /> SCR Response: We went out to the site and need to make some corrections to the plan from what was <br /> originally shown. Missing from the original permit plan is an existing 21' double gate on the fire lane north of <br /> the area of work. The existing double gate to the fire lane and one on the east side of the school was <br /> agreed for installation with the interim Fire Marshal Leroy McNoulty. His only request was that the district <br /> buy and install fire department knox padlocks which they did. Additionally,just to the north of the existing <br /> 21' double gate, new man gate with panic hardware has been installed. We also discovered we had <br /> accidently duplicated the FH at the intersection of the service road from the fire lane. There is no FH <br /> there. There is only a FH at the intersection of the service road/fire lane from the parking lot(in addition to <br /> the one in the asphalt play area.) Multiple people work on these plans and someone saw the FH in the <br /> picture and accidently added one at the wrong location. (my apologies). <br /> The site plan(s)have been updated to better reflect the existing conditions for the area north of the portables <br /> and js now shown on revised sheet A1.01 (Revision 2)dated 7/3-1-L2019 <br /> Response to Correction Letter-Portable at Horizon Elementary School/Project No. B1906-015 <br />
