Shaffer Duplex Property
1. CONSTRUCTION STORM WATER POLLUTION
PREVENTION ELEMENTS
Element#1: Mark Clearing Limits
Clearing limits have been shown on the Temporary Erosion and Sedimentation
Control Plans and will be marked with construction fencing.
BMP C103: High Visibility Plastic or Metal Fence
Element#2: Establish Construction Entrance
A temporary construction entrance at the location of the proposed driveway
accessing Richmond Road is to serve as construction entrance. All vehicles shall
be free of debris prior to leaving the site.
BMP C105: Stabilized Construction Entrance
Element#3: Control Flow Rates
Flow rates during construction are likely to be negligible and will be mitigated by
directing runoff through preserved on-site vegetation.
Not Applicable to This Project
Element#4: Install Sediment Controls
Sediment controls mainly consist of installing silt fencing along the southern and
eastern clearing limits.
BMP C233: Silt Fence
Element#5: Stabilize Soils
All soils disturbed during site grading will be stabilized by use of the most
appropriate BMP method available. Short term methods primarily consist of
mulch/straw covering over the soils. Temporary and Permanent Seeding may be
used if areas are to be left unworked for longer periods of time. During
construction periods longer than 1 working week (7 days)where the soils are
exposed and un-worked will use the proscribed methods in the Storm Water
Management Manual for Western Washington to reduce sedimentation
transported offsite. If winter grading is conducted, all exposed soils shall be
covered within 2 days.
BMP C120: Temporary and Permanent Seeding
BMP C121: Mulching
Element# 6: Protect Slopes
The site contains no steep slopes; if steep slopes are created through temporary
grading activities, slopes will be stabilized with surface roughening or seeding.
BMP C120: Temporary and Permanent Seeding
BMP C130: Surface Roughening
JOB NO:17-1666-A 2
