She <br /> also thanked teachers and parents who are working hard on continuing education. <br /> President Tuohy expressed her appreciation to local banks for the support <br /> provided to small businesses. <br /> ADMINISTRATION UPDATE ,` <br /> Deputy Mayor Nick Harper echoed President Tuohy's comments about the <br /> impactful program provided by local banks to small businesses. <br /> Lori Cummings and Nick Harper, Administration, and Susy Haugen, Finance, <br /> provided a revenue forecast update related to the economic impact of the COVID- <br /> 19 pandemic. <br /> Considerable discussion ensued regarding CARES Act programs available for small <br /> businesses and city outreach to businesses, the negative impact on the Lodging <br /> Tax Grant program and other city programs, and the need for joint efforts in <br /> dealing with the crisis. <br /> Council Member Murphy asked for an update regarding the availability of a <br /> potential federal assistance for the City related to pandemic. <br /> Nick Harper stated that the City is working closely with Snohomish County <br /> regarding that aid, and Washington State on potential assistance. <br /> r <br /> 114 <br />
