Lighting shall be provided for the multi-use room <br /> exterior doors on Sheet A02. The construction drawings shall specify a power complying with <br /> Section 19978.3.4. See IBC Sections 1008.3.2 Item 5 and 1010.1.6. <br /> This no longer applies. <br /> 15. The multi-use area on Sheet A-2 requires two means of egress. The area shall be provided with <br /> emergency lighting at each egress door from the area. The construction drawings shall specify a <br /> power complying with IBC Section 1008. <br /> The occupant load is less than 50,therefore lighting is not required. <br /> Accessibility <br /> 16. The addition contains a primary function area. Accessibility improvements shall be made to the <br /> existing building. A statement shall be submitted for review outlining the improvements made to <br /> the building. See IEBC Sections 1105.1 and 705.2 <br /> The existing entrances on the site are accessible and the new exterior exit on the new addition <br /> will be accessible. <br /> 17. The restrooms shall be provided with vertical grab bars adjacent to the toilets. See IBC Section <br /> 1101.2 and ICC A117.1-09 Section 604.5.1 <br /> Note added. Elevations have been added that show vertical grab bars. <br /> 18. Exposed pipes under the restroom sinks shall be provided with pipe protection. See IBC <br /> Section1101.2 and ICC A117.I.09 Section 606.6 <br /> Note added. Elevations have been added that show protection of pipes under sinks. <br /> 19. The women's restroom (i.e., Room "9") on the main floor shows modifications per Sheet A-1. See <br /> IBC Section 1101.2. The following comments must be addressed: <br /> a. The modifications required a minimum room width of 96 inches. Per the plan dimensions,the <br /> room is only 92 inches wide and is therefore not consistent with the dimension shown. The <br /> design should be reviewed and revised as needed. See IBC section 107.2.1. <br /> b. The dimensions indicate a wall-hung compartment that is approximately 54 inches deep. The <br /> minimum compartment depth for a floor-mounted toilet is 59 inches. See ICC 117.1-09 Figure <br /> 604.9.2(b). <br /> c. Grab bars shall be provided complying with ICC 117.1-09 Section 604.5.1. <br /> The women's restroom is no longer being modified. <br />
