Our response appears in bold. <br /> Structural <br /> General: <br /> 4. This comment has not been completely addressed. The "Lumber"section of the Structural Notes on <br /> Sheet S1.1 requires all wood exposed to weather to be preservative-treated. The note shall also <br /> require the cut ends of preservative-treated wood to be coated with a preservative treatment <br /> complying with AWPA U1. See IBC Sections 2304.12.1 and 2304.12.2.3. <br /> This note has been added to Sheet S1.1 <br /> 7. This comment has not been addressed. The project includes work that will be performed on the <br /> premises of fabricators'shops. Special inspections are required to be performed by the fabricators <br /> unless they are registered and approved to perform work without special inspections. The general <br /> notes should be revised to list work being performed by approved fabricators. Work not being <br /> performed by approved fabricators should be added to the list of special inspections. See IBC <br /> Sections 1704.2.5, 1704.2.5.1,and Section 1704.5 Items 1 and 2. The following work shall be <br /> specified in the notes: <br /> a. Concrete reinforcement fabrication and bending(IBC Section 1705.3) <br /> b. Metal plate-connected wood trusses(IBC Sections 2303.4.6,and 2303.4.7). <br /> This note has been added to Sheet S1.1 <br /> Foundation System: <br /> 10. This comment has not been addressed. The original comment stated that new interior load-bearing <br /> walls shall be provided with sill plate anchorage.
