This comment has not been completely addressed. The following comments shall be addressed for <br /> the headers shown in the floor and roof framing plans on Sheets A-2,A-4 and A-7, respectively: <br /> a. The south wall header shall be specified. See IBC Section 1603.1. <br /> Headers not specifically called out shall be HF#2 4x8 headers per our typical framing notes on <br /> sheet S2.1. <br /> Lateral System: <br /> 26. This comment has not been completely addressed. Section 6/54.2 has been added in response to <br /> the original comment. See IBC Section 107.2.1. The following comments should be addressed: <br /> a. The detail on Sheet A-6 should be removed. <br /> This detail have been removed. <br /> b. Sheet A-2 references Detail 5/S4.2 near the middle of the beam. Verify if the reference should <br /> be for Detail 6/S4.2. <br /> This is correct.The framing plans on Sheet A-2 have been updated for the proper detail <br /> callouts. <br /> c. The nailing requirements for the existing diaphragm sheathing to the nailer should be specified. <br /> This has been added to detail 6/S4.2.Please see the attached supplemental structural <br /> calculations dated 10/29/2018. <br /> d. Calculations shall be submitted verifying the connection of the Main Level diaphragm to the <br /> beam,including the capacity of the nailer. The nailer connection shall include loads from the <br /> Main Level diaphragm and the shear wall above. The shear loads shall include the 25%increase <br /> per ASCE 7-10 Section 12.3.3.4 Item 2. <br /> Please see the attached supplemental structural calculations dated 10/29/2018. <br /> e. The beam will act concurrently as a collector transferring shear wall loads from above to the <br /> walls at the south end of the beam. Calculations the combined loading of the beam shall be <br /> submitted for review. The axial component shall include the 25%increase per ASCE 7-10 <br /> Section 12.3.3.4 Item 2.
