F., Everett Police Department Code Enforcement Unit January 4, 2010 CASE #06-0895 NOTICE TO COMPLY Dixie Walker 3415 Oakes Avenue SE Everett, WA 98201 On February 11, 2008, an inspection was conducted by the Everett City Building Services Department, at the address of 3415 Oakes Ave. SE. The inspection revealed that there had been construction activity conducted there, that was done without the issuance of permits and was not up to applicable city building standards. As a result of this inspection, a "stop work" order was posted on the property and you were directed by the City's inspector to obtain the necessary permits to correct and/or complete this work. A recent audit of our records has shown that no permits have ever been applied for and that in fact, the structure is now being utilized as a duplex.This is a violation of International Residential Code 2006 105.1. A check of the Snohomish County Assessors' Office records shows that you are the legal owner of this property. The City would like to solicit your voluntary cooperation with the correction of this matter. We would request that you contact the City's Building Services Department at 3200 Cedar St. and apply for and obtain all of the necessary and appropriate permits to correct the deficiencies in the structures' construction and/or, to legally convert this structure to a legal duplex. We would request that you apply for and obtain these permits by January 25, 2010. If compliance is not achieved by this date, you will be issued a Violation Citation and the matter will be scheduled in front of the City's Violations Hearing Examiner.
