4.6.2 East Clearwell Leakage <br /> The East Clearwell structure currently has no significant leakage after filling cracks and joints in <br /> 2017. Design-Builder shall take precautions to protect all newly filled cracks and joints during <br /> demolition and new roof construction. <br /> 4.7 East Clearwell Cleaning and Disinfection <br /> 4.7.1 General <br /> Before refilling completed facilities, including the East Clearwell and pipelines, Design-Builder shall <br /> clean the East Clearwell and pipelines in accordance with applicable standards and procedures, <br /> including but not limited to: WAC 246-290-451, WSDOH, and ANSI/AWWA Standards C652 (Method <br /> 3) and C651, and coordinate disinfection with the City.All materials used for cleaning and <br /> disinfection of potable water tank and system interiors shall conform to the applicable requirements <br /> of ANSI/NSF 60 and 61. <br /> 4.7.2 East Clearwell <br /> Immediately prior to disinfection, Design-Builder shall remove all temporary structures and debris, <br /> and wash all interior surfaces with clean water using a high-pressure water device.All water,dirt, and <br /> foreign material accumulated in this cleaning process shall be removed from the East Clearwell. <br /> Following cleaning, Design-Builder shall arrange for Owner's Representative to inspect and verify that <br /> cleaning requirements have been met. <br /> Upon the City's acceptance of Design-Builder's cleaning process,the City will conduct refill and <br /> disinfection operations.After completion of East Clearwell disinfection, City will conduct testing <br /> activities in accordance with WDOH requirements to confirm absence of coliform organisms and <br /> chlorine residual. If the initial disinfection fails, water in the clearwell will be chlorinated and retested <br /> until satisfactory results are obtained. <br /> The East Clearwell shall not be put back on-line without written approval from the Owner's <br /> Representative. <br /> ARTICLE 5. CONSTRUCTION <br /> 5.1 General <br /> The requirements of this article apply to all construction related activities, including demolition,site <br /> restoration, and testing activities further described in Articles 6,7, and 8, respectively. <br /> 5.2 Hours of Construction <br /> Design-Builder shall only conduct construction-related activities between the following hours: <br /> • Monday through Friday-6:00 AM to 6:00 PM. <br /> • Weekends: Generally, no construction activity work will be allowed.
