.41p <br /> stod0000g <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 7251 <br /> A RESOLUTION waiving public bidding requirements and approving a multiple year sole source purchase <br /> of Support and Maintenance for the Microsoft Operating Systems, Office, Azure, etc from Microsoft <br /> Services Corporation. <br /> WHEREAS. the City has chosen and used Microsoft as its Operating System since 2009; and <br /> WHEREAS, Microsoft Services Corporation. as the developer and licensor Microsoft products, is the only <br /> source of maintenance and support for this software; <br /> WHEREAS, as long as the City maintains its Microsoft license agreement and the annual cost does not <br /> exceed an approximate 5% increase, the sole source purchase should be approved for multiple years rather <br /> than on an annual basis; <br /> NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVERETT <br /> that because there is clearly and legitimately only one source capable of supplying Support and Maintenance <br /> for the Microsoft Operating Systems, Office, Azure; the City hereby waives competitive bidding <br /> requirements and authorizes the purchase of Support and Maintenance from Microsoft Services Corporation <br /> for multiple years, providing the annual increase in cost remains at approximately 5%. <br /> /.114"( ''= ) <br /> Councilperson Introducing Res • <br /> PASSED and APPROVED this 30th day of May ,2018. <br /> Council President <br />
