LIU & ASSOCIATES, INC.
Geotechnical Engineering Engineering Geology, Earth Science
March 7, 2011
Mr. Paul Thompson
Kolbear,Inc.
15028—228th Street SE
Snohomish, WA 98296
Dear Mr. Thompson:
Subject: Geotechnical Engineering Study
Thompson Plat
46xx Seahurst Avenue
Everett, Washington
L&A Job No. 11-001
INTRODUCTION
The subject property at the above address in Everett, Washington, is platted into three single-
family building lots. Lots 1 and 2 sit side by side in the northeast portion and Lot 3 lies in the
southwest portion of the plat site. We understand the development plan for the site is to
demolish the existing residence on Lot 1 and to build a new residence on each of the three lots.
A joint-use paved driveway is to be constructed along the south side of Lots 1 and 2 and
extended to the east end of Lot 3 to serve the three residences. We also understand that onsite
disposal of storm runoff over impervious surfaces is being considered for these residences and
the joint-use driveway.
At your request, we have completed a geotechnical engineering study for the proposed
development of the site. Subsurface condition of the site was explored and a feasibility
evaluation of onsite stormwater disposal completed. Geotechnical recommendations for grading,
19213 Kenlake Place NE • Kenmore, Washington 98028
Phone (425) 483-9134 • Fax (425) 486-2746
