Presented in this report are our findings, conclusion and recommendations.
SCOPE OF SERVICES
Our proposed scope of services for the geotechnical engineering study comprises specifically the
following:
1. Review geologic and soil conditions at and in the vicinity of the subject plat site based on
a published geologic map.
2. Explore subsurface (soil and groundwater) conditions of the site with backhoe test pits up
to about 8 feet deep.
3. Perform necessary geotechnical engineering analysis based on soil data obtained from the
test pits.
4. Prepare a written report to present our findings, conclusions and geotechnical
recommendations.
A geotechnical staff from our office was on site to direct the subsurface exploration program, and
examined the soil and geologic conditions encountered and maintained logs of the test pits.
SITE CONDITIONS
SURFACE CONDITIONS
The general location of the subject plat site is shown on Plate 1 —Vicinity Map. It is situated on
the western fringe of a northerly trending ridge. To the west of this ridge is a moderate to steep,
westerly-declining hillside.
