The project will also include 4,988 tons of <br /> 16 aforementioned asphalt and 2,414 tons of Hot Mix Asphalt, Class 3/8 inch, PG 64-22 asphalt in <br /> 17 four inch (4") thicknesses for road and trail creation on Smith Island*** and other work, all in <br /> 18 accordance with the attached Contract Plans, these Contract Provisions, and the Standard <br /> 19 Specifications. <br /> 20 <br /> 21 1-01.DOCX <br /> 22 Definition and Terms <br /> 23 <br /> 24 1-01.3.RTF <br /> 25 1-01.3 Definitions <br /> 26 (January 4, 2016 APWA GSP) <br /> 27 <br /> 28 Delete the heading Completion Dates and the three paragraphs that follow it, and replace them <br /> 29 with the following: <br /> 30 <br /> 31 Dates <br /> 32 Bid Opening Date <br /> 33 The date on which the Contracting Agency publicly opens and reads the Bids. ' <br /> 34 Award Date <br /> 35 The date of the formal decision of the Contracting Agency to accept the lowest <br /> 36 responsible and responsive Bidder for the Work. <br /> 37 Contract Execution Date <br /> 38 The date the Contracting Agency officially binds the Agency to the Contract. <br /> 39 Notice to Proceed Date <br /> 40 The date stated in the Notice to Proceed on which the Contract time begins. <br /> 41 Substantial Completion Date <br /> 42 The day the Engineer determines the Contracting Agency has full and unrestricted use <br /> 43 and benefit of the facilities, both from the operational and safety standpoint, any <br /> 44 remaining traffic disruptions will be rare and brief, and only minor incidental work, <br /> 45 replacement of temporary substitute facilities, plant establishment periods, or correction <br /> 46 or repair remains for the Physical Completion of the total Contract. <br /> 47 Physical Completion Date <br /> 48 The day all of the Work is physically completed on the project.
