Replacement <br /> I 5 casting will be supplied by the City of Everett and original casting will be picked up by <br /> 6 the City of Everett. <br /> 7 <br /> I 8 Old style inlet's casted in concrete that need to be raised to finish overlay grade shall be <br /> 9 identified by the City of Everett. Risers will be supplied by the City of Everett; contractor <br /> 10 shall raise grate and install supplied riser. <br /> 11 <br /> 12 GLF 7-05.3(5).DOCX <br /> 13 Adjusting Valve Boxes to Grade <br /> I14 (******) <br /> 15 <br /> 16 Section 7-05.3 of the standard specifications is supplemented with the following: <br /> I17 <br /> 18 (******) <br /> 1 19 Where shown in the plans, existing valve boxes and covers shall be adjusted to the <br /> 20 grade as staked or otherwise designated by the Engineer. The adjustment of the valve <br /> 21 box to grade by the use of riser rings is not allowed. <br /> I <br /> 22 <br /> 23 Removal operations shall be conducted to prevent damage to the valve boxes. Any <br /> 24 parts or materials damaged due to the Contractor's operations shall be replaced at the <br /> I 25 Contractor's expense. <br /> 26 <br /> 27 The Contractor shall conduct the valve box adjustments so that the fully-adjusted box <br /> I 28 allows the respective valve to be fully operational.
