CITY <br /> MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING <br /> WHEREAS,the City of Everett("City") and the Everett Police Management Association <br /> ("EPMA")negotiated a January 1, 2018 through December 31, 2020 collective bargaining <br /> agreement;and <br /> WHEREAS,the City and the EPMA wish to establish HRA/VEBA benefit accounts for all <br /> EPMA members retiring in 2020; and <br /> WHEREAS,the City and the EPMA agree that the City will contribute the sick leave <br /> accrual incentive owed to members retiring in 2020, per article 17.4.1,into their HRA/VEBA <br /> account. <br /> AGREED BY AND BETWEEN THE PARTIES HERETO, in mutual consideration of the <br /> promises contained herein and other good and valuable consideration,that: <br /> 1, Article 17 of the January 1, 2018 through December 31, 2020 collective bargaining <br /> agreement shall be revised as follows: <br /> ARTICLE 17 - SICK LEAVE <br /> 17.1 LEOFF I. <br /> 17.1.1 LEOFF I members qualified to receive disability benefits provided by Chapter 41.26 RCW <br /> shall receive such benefits in lieu of provisions of Sections 17.2 and 17.3 of this <br /> Agreement. <br /> 17.2 LEOFF II -Accrual. <br /> 17.2.1 All full time LEOFF II members shall receive six hours of accrual per pay period. The <br /> maximum accrual of sick leave shall be 1,040 hours. <br /> 17.3 Sick Leave Use. <br /> 17.3.1 Sick leave use is defined as follows: <br /> A. personal illness or physical incapacity resulting from a cause beyond the <br /> employee's control; <br />
