Deb Williams
From: Monica McLaughlin <monicabdiva@hotmail.com>
Sent: Tuesday,April 21, 2020 3:52 PM
To: Deb Williams
Subject: Proposed budget cuts to Parks Dept.
I read in the Herald today about proposed budget cuts to the Parks Department. I'm extremely upset about this news
and would like my comments passed on to those voting on this! I'm a regular participant in the hiking/snowshoeing
outdoor programs lead by Andy Boos. This program is so important to hundreds of participants in our area and is crucial
to preserving our physical and mental health. If you want to cut some money from the budget, please consider getting
rid of that useless TV station you have instead. Nobody watches it and I can imagine it costs plenty to keep up. This
money would be far better used to fund our vital Parks programs. Our beautiful parks and stellar parks programs,
libraries and senior center make Everett an exceptional place to live. Without them we are just a place where Boeing
and the Navy are located. The thought of potentially losing them makes us very depressed. Please keep our Parks open
and funded!!
Monica and Bill McLaughlin
3010 91st Street SE
Everett,WA 98208
Sent from Mail for Windows 10
1
