Mr. Chris DiJulio
January 12, 2016
we understand, the cut wall along the west property line and the fill wall along the east property line will be
constructed as gravity Standard Keystone Block walls. The fill wall in the southeast corner of the property will be
constructed as a reinforced Compact Keystone Block wall.
Our designs for the reinforced Compact Keystone block retaining walls address internal and external wall stability
considerations. The reinforced Compact Keystone block wall designs were completed using the computer
program MSEW v.3.0 published by ADAMA Engineering, Inc. All analyses yielded acceptable factors of safety
for both static and seismic cases. A typical section shown construction details and specifications is attached as
Figure 1. Design calculations are attached for agency review.
A typical section showing construction details and specifications for the gravity MSE Keystone Block wall for the
varying wall heights anticipated is attached as Figure 2. Design calculations are attached for building official
review.
We trust the information presented is sufficient to meet your current needs.
