The design shall consider concurrent multi-directional loading as <br /> determined by the elevator manufacturer. The required locations and maximum spacing <br /> for the connection points should be specified in the structural drawings. See IBC Section <br /> 107.2.1 and 1604.4. <br /> e. The structural calculations shall be performing using the appropriate load combinations <br /> including live and seismic loading per IBC Section 1605.3. In addition, documentation shall <br /> be submitted verifying the nominal loads have been increased for impact effects per IBC <br /> Section 1607.9.1. <br /> 10. Section 2/A5.6 shows an elevator hoist beam. The beam is not located at the roof level and <br /> appears to require support from the mezzanine structure framing. The structural plans do not <br /> appear to include either the beam or framing to support it, and should be revised. Framing <br /> connections are required to provide a minimum positive connection capacity per ASCE 7-10 <br /> Section 1.4.4. Calculations substantiating the framing and connections should be submitted for <br /> review. See IBC Sections 1603.1 and 1604.1. <br /> This review has been performed for general compliance with the building codes as adopted and <br /> amended by the state of Washington and the city of Everett. Corrections and comments made <br /> during the review process do not relieve the project from compliance with code and permit <br /> requirements.
