�, www.economicalliancesc.org • Followed through on Snohomish County submittal (Everett and Paine Field sites) for the Boeing 777X competition • Worked to successfully to secure 777X work for Snohomish County including Carbon Fiber Composite wing fabrication and assembly and aircraft final assembly • Peak headcount— 8,500 in 2024 • Investment in real property$4.0-6.08 • Machinery and Equipment$3.08—4.08 • Sponsored and attended the 2014 Pacific Northwest Aerospace Alliance annual conference; networking for expansion and recruitment projects; 350 attendees • Recruited, sponsored and provided staff support for the 2014 Aerospace Futures Alliance Governors Aerospace Summit at the Comcast Arena; networking for expansion and recruitment projects; 250 attendees Recruitment • Pursuing twelve recruitment prospects considering locating in Everett, representing over 670 new jobs. • Facilitated three recruitment projects • Kuka— German robotics company working on 777X fuselage assembly with workforce, incentives and other issues affecting their new operations in the city • NovatorAB—Swedish advanced manufacturing company(787 drilling fixtures) workforce, incentives and operational needs (building, insurance, IT support, signage, etc.) for their new operations in the city • Carbon Aerospace—Engineering company designing carbon composite floats for the general aviation industry with workforce, incentives and other issues pertaining to their new operations in Everett • EASC is tracking an additional 40 companies representing another 2,000 to 3,000 jobs (60% aerospace/40% non-aerospace) • Through a consulting agreement, Site Location Partnership represented EASC at six industry trade shows to generate recruitment leads. The shows generated 30+ leads for further analysis. EASC attended three of these shows; Medical Device and Manufacturing in Anaheim, International Manufacturing Technology Show in Chicago and FABTECH in Atlanta. The contract was renewed for 2015. • EASC exhibited at three Seattle trade shows, to attract investment projects; Aerospace and Defense Suppliers Summit(March 2014); Life Science Innovation Northwest (June 2014); Aerospace Interiors Show (Oct 2014). • Updated Aerospace Gap analysis for our region • Resulted in 6 additional prospects (potentially over 140 job) being added to our development funnel and six unsolicited proposals (90 jobs) to aerospace suppliers. • Attended Farnborough Airshow(England) • Met with nearly 40 aerospace companies, secured over six strong leads with companies interested in moving to Snohomish County and strengthened relationships with existing companies looking to expand in our region • In partnership with our economic development colleagues in King, Pierce and Kitsap Counties, with coordination provided by the Trade Development Alliance of Seattle, produced the Greater Seattle Region Global Trade & Investment Plan. The objective of the plan in to increase foreign direct investment in the region as well as promote increased exports by regional companies. 8
