The zone of influence for vertical surcharges acting on the wall <br /> is conservatively recommended as 45 degrees from the base of the wall for the active condition <br /> as noted on page 15 of the noted geotechnical report. A recommended vertical surcharge of 250 <br /> pounds per square foot (psf) is recommended for traffic loading near the wall if within the <br /> recommended zone of influence.
