The elevator machinery room should be shown enclosed by minimum two-hour wall and <br /> floor/ceiling assemblies. Section 3005.4 <br /> a. Any load-bearing member supporting the fire rated floor/ceiling assembly should <br /> be protected as two-hour construction as well. Section 707.5.1 <br /> 2. Door #106 giving access to the elevator machinery room should be shown as a <br /> minimum 90-minute fire-rated assembly. Section 3005.4 <br /> 3. The listing for 2-hour Wall Type ES-3 should be provided on the plans. Section 703.2 <br /> 4. The lid of the enclosed closet under the new east stair (first floor) should be shown as a <br /> minimum one-hour fire-rated assembly. Section 1011.7.3 <br /> 5. Some fire barriers enclosing the new east stairway (including any stairway landings <br /> within the boundaries of the enclosure) land on floor/ceiling assemblies rather than <br /> continuing from the foundation to the roof sheathing. Any floor/ceiling assemblies <br /> and/or beams (and their supporting structure) that support a stair enclosure wall (or <br /> floor/ceiling) should also be shown as minimum one-hour construction on the plans. <br /> Section 707.5.1 <br />
