� 1 <br /> Section 2.1 Asbestos Survey Narrative (Pre-Stress Building & QC Lab) <br /> South Everett CADMAN Plant 16300 Glenwood Ave. I Everett, WA 98203 <br /> Bulk samples collected were submitted for sample analysis in accordance with method EPA-600/R-93/116: "Method for <br /> the Determination of Asbestos in Bulk Building Materials". Analyses were performed in Pacific Rim Environmental Inc.'s <br /> NVLAP Accredited Laboratory(Lab Code 101631-0). Materials are positive for asbestos if they are found to contain <br /> greater than 1%or 1%asbestos. <br /> A total of seven (7)samples were collected and submitted for PLM laboratory analysis. One(01)of these samples was <br /> found to contain greater than 1% asbestos. One (01) visual assessment was made and is presumed to be asbestos <br /> containing material(PACM). <br /> Thermal Systems Insulation(TSI) <br /> Suspect asbestos-containing insulation was identified on the ceiling inside of the pre-stress building. The material was <br /> sampled and no asbestos was detected. (Sample#40) <br /> If during the course of wall, ceiling or floor demolition, any TSI materials that are not listed in this report are uncovered, <br /> sampling must be performed prior to disturbing these materials. <br /> Surfacing Materials <br /> Suspect asbestos-containing ceiling coatings were identified in the interior of the QC lab. The material was sampled <br /> and no asbestos was detected(Sample#37) <br /> Suspect asbestos-containing wall texture was identified on the interior of the QC lab.The material was sampled and no <br /> asbestos was detected. (Sample#38) <br /> Suspect asbestos-containing coatings were identified on the exterior perimeter walls of the pre-stress building. The <br /> material was sampled and no asbestos was detected. (Sample#39) <br /> If during the course of wall,ceiling or floor demolition, any surfacing materials not identified in this report are uncovered, <br /> sampling be performed prior to disturbing these materials. <br /> Miscellaneous Materials <br /> Suspect asbestos-containing rolled roofing was identified on the roof of the pre-stress building. The material was <br /> sampled and no asbestos was detected (Sample#34) <br /> Suspect asbestos-containing vent sealant was identified on the roof of the pre-stress building. The material was <br /> sampled and found to contain 7--10%Chrysotile asbestos. (Sample#35) <br /> Suspect asbestos-containing sheetrock (GWB) was identified on the interior walls of the QC lab. The material was <br /> sampled and no asbestos was detected. (Sample#36) <br /> Suspect asbestos-containing 2x4 ceiling tiles were identified inside of the QC lab. The material was visually assessed <br /> and is presumed to be asbestos containing until further sampling can be performed.
