Description of Public Service Programs Recommended for <br /> Community Development Block Grant Funding in 2015 <br /> 1. Advocates for the Rights of Citizens with Developmental Disabilities (ARC) <br /> Specialized Housing Program <br /> CDBG funds will be used to pay for staffing for this program. The program will provide help for <br /> people with developmental disabilities in three areas: 1) Location and retention of affordable <br /> housing; 2) Education and training and, 3) Alternative living support. <br /> Recommended 2015 CDBG Funding $10,500.00 <br /> 2. Community Health Center of Snohomish County <br /> The Community Health Center is a non-profit clinic providing on-site dental care to low income <br /> people who do not have the health insurance or other resources to pay for dental care. <br /> Recommended 2015 CDBG Funding $15,000.00 <br /> 3. Assistance League of Everett— Operation School Bell <br /> The goal of this program is to ensure that homeless children and children living in poverty have <br /> adequate school clothing and hygiene supplies. <br /> Recommended 2015 CDBG Funding $12,500.00 <br /> 4. Catholic Community Services -Volunteer Program Services <br /> This program will reimburse the transportation costs of volunteers providing transportation services <br /> to clients residing within the City of Everett. <br /> Recommended 2015 CDBG Funding $3,000.00 <br /> 5. Snohomish County Legal Services - Housing Justice Program <br /> The Housing Justice program functions as a homeless prevention program by providing legal <br /> services to low-income tenants at eviction hearings. <br /> Recommended 2015 CDBG Funding $8,000.00 <br /> 6. Volunteers of America - Rental Housing Mediation Service <br /> This project provides neutral rental housing mediation to both owners and tenants of low income <br /> rental properties. <br /> Recommended 2015 CDBG Funding $11,000.00 <br /> 13 <br />
