Geotechnical Report
Proposed Development: 11229 - 19th Avenue SE, Everett, WA
September 16, 2016
drawings, we understand that the proposed buildings will be 3-story wood frame structures with a
combination of concrete slabs and joist floors. We anticipate that site grading for the proposed
project will likely consist of cuts and fill on order of 3 to 4 feet.
' j✓`o-xa ' :
V ` ii ;7';t ;"
_..
Plate 1. If the above
project description is incorrect, or the project information changes, we should be consulted to
review the recommendations contained in this study and make modifications, if needed. In any
case PanGEO should be retained to provide a review of the final design to confirm that our
geotechnical recommendations have been correctly interpreted and adequately implemented in the
construction documents.
3.0 SUBSURFACE EXPLORATIONS
Four test borings (PG-1 through PG-4) were drilled at the site on August 17, 2016, using an EC
95 track-mounted drill rig owned and operated by Boretec 1, Inc. The borings were logged by a
geologist from PanGEO and extended to maximum depths of about 11 to 21 feet below existing
grade. The approximate boring locations were located in the field using GPS and by measuring
from property corners and site features, and are shown on Figure 2, Site and Exploration Plan.
The drill rig was equipped with 6-inch outside diameter hollow stem augers. Soil samples were
obtained from the borings at 2V2-foot depth intervals in general accordance with ASTM D-1586,
Standard Test Method for Penetration Test and Split Barrel Sampling of Soils, in which the
16-210 11229 19th Ave SE Rpt Page 2 PanGEO, Inc.
