We previously prepared a geotechnical engineering evaluation for this project dated May 8,2018. In this report, we concluded that the proposed development was feasible. We recommended that the eastern garage foundation and entire wall be designed as a retaining/debris catchment wall due to the proximity of the proposed garage to the sloping area and a concrete rubble wall above. We now understand that the garage location and orientation has been changed since our initial report and we have been requested to provide updated foundations recommendations. We understand that the proposed garage location has been moved north and west from the prior location and rotated slightly to the west. The southeastern portion of the garage is proposed to be located approximately 18 feet west of the eastern property line and the neighboring concrete rubble wall, and at least seven feet from the toe of the moderately sloping area directly below the concrete rubble wall.
