Sewer Back-Up Claim: Designated Connection <br /> 0 <br /> • The Public Works Department currently <br /> Designated classifies connections as <br /> Connection? <br /> Designated Connections. <br /> • Under the ordinance, a property with a <br /> Designated Connection is obligated to <br /> install a backwater prevention device <br /> (backwater valve). <br /> • If a sewer back-up occurs at a property <br /> that is NOT a Designated Connection, <br /> then the claim goes into the claims <br /> process. <br />
