After reviewing the possible purchase, the Everett Housing Authority decided not to
purchase the property. The Housing Authority of Snohomish County then expressed interest in the property.
After review, the Housing Authority of Snohomish County made an offer to purchase the property, which
has been accepted by Bethany of the Northwest. This purchase keeps the project as an affordable housing
project for elderly tenants now and into the future. For the Housing Authority of Snohomish County to
operate within the City of Everett as it relates to this project, they need to be authorized by the City.
RECOMMENDATION:
Adopt Resolution Declaring the Need for the Housing Authority of Snohomish County to operate within the
Boundaries of the City of Everett.
15
