Location of Structures - No sign structure, support, "pole, stand, brace or appurtenance of any sign shallbe placed on public property. E. Proximity to Exits - No sign or sign structure shall be erected in such a manner that any portion of its structure, surface or supports will interfere in any way with the free use of any fire escape, exit or standpipe. Location - It is the intention of this ordinance that no sign shall extend over public property more than ten feet (10' ) and in no event shall be closer than five feet (5' ) to the curb line. EXCEPTION: No sign shall be placed on or extend over the right-of-way of EVERGREEN WAY between 52nd Street and the south city limits, or on or over the right-of-way of the . BROADWAY CUT-OFF between 4lst Street and the extension of Ever green Way. All signs erected within the City of Everett shall ' meet the requirements of the City' s Zoning Code for the applicable Zone. Section 6: Pole Signs A. Location - Pole signs shall have at least a ten (10) foot vertical clearance wherever they project over public property. B. Projection - Pole signs may not project over public '; property more than ten (10) feet nor more than 3/4 the distance , to the curb line. Under no circumstances shall a sign project closer than five feet (5 ' ) to the curb line. Section 7: Ground Signs A. Projection - Ground signs shall not project over EIpublic property or beyond a building line. B. Maintenance - Every ground sign and the immediate 1 surrounding premises shall be maintained by the owner of such land in a clean, sanitary and. inoffensive condition and kept free land clear of all obnoxious substances, rubbish and weeds . Section 8; Roof Signs A. Securip - Roof signs shall be thoroughly secured and anchored to the frame -of ,the building over which they are constructed and erected. B. Clearance and Access - Passage, clear of all obstructions, shall be left under or around, and immediately adjacent to, all signs exceeding a height of four feet (4' ) above the roof thereunder.
