EXCEPTION: Under no circumstances shall permission <br /> be granted to locate a sign closer than eight (8) feet to a <br /> . 12 KV power conductor. All energized wires located closer than <br /> eight (8) feet to any part of the proposed sign or structure <br /> : shall be shown on the plan submitted by the applicant . <br /> D. Location of Structures - No sign structure, support, <br /> "pole, stand, brace or appurtenance of any sign shallbe placed <br /> on public property. <br /> E. Proximity to Exits - No sign or sign structure shall <br /> be erected in such a manner that any portion of its structure, <br /> surface or supports will interfere in any way with the free use <br /> of any fire escape, exit or standpipe. No sign shall obstruct <br /> any window to such an extent that light or ventilation is reduced <br /> , to a point below that required by any law or ordinance. <br /> F. Location - It is the intention of this ordinance that <br /> no sign shall extend over public property more than ten feet <br /> (10' ) and in no event shall be closer than five feet (5' ) to <br /> the curb line. EXCEPTION: No sign shall be placed on or extend <br /> over the right-of-way of EVERGREEN WAY between 52nd Street and <br /> the south city limits, or on or over the right-of-way of the <br /> . BROADWAY CUT-OFF between 4lst Street and the extension of Ever <br /> green Way. All signs erected within the City of Everett shall <br /> ' meet the requirements of the City' s Zoning Code for the applicable <br /> Zone. <br /> Section 6: Pole Signs <br /> A. Location - Pole signs shall have at least a ten <br /> (10) foot vertical clearance wherever they project over public <br /> property. <br /> B. Projection - Pole signs may not project over public <br /> '; property more than ten (10) feet nor more than 3/4 the distance <br /> , to the curb line. Under no circumstances shall a sign project <br /> closer than five feet (5 ' ) to the curb line. <br /> Section 7: Ground Signs <br /> A. Projection - Ground signs shall not project over <br /> EIpublic property or beyond a building line. <br /> B. Maintenance - Every ground sign and the immediate <br /> 1 surrounding premises shall be maintained by the owner of such <br /> land <br /> in a clean, sanitary and. inoffensive condition and kept free <br /> land clear of all obnoxious substances, rubbish and weeds . <br /> Section 8; Roof Signs <br /> A. Securip - Roof signs shall be thoroughly secured <br /> and anchored to the frame -of ,the building over which they are <br /> constructed and erected. <br /> B. Clearance and Access - Passage, clear of all <br /> obstructions, shall be left under or around, and immediately <br /> adjacent to, all signs exceeding a height of four feet (4' ) above <br /> the roof thereunder. Such passages shall be not less than three <br /> feet (3' ) wide and six feet (6' ) high and shall be at parapet <br /> or roof level. <br /> Such passage or access opening, shall be required <br /> as follows: <br />
